Until DEATH do us part.....

Anniversary @ Bopmyspace.com

Until death do us part! I don't think at 21 I really knew what that entailed! Do any of you know what you were doing 36 years ago? Some of you probably weren't even alive. I was walking down that isle, saying I do to my best friend. The man I now KNOW God picked for me. How do I know that. Because he brings to this union everything I don't. We are ying and yang. We complete each other.

I always teased him and said our family doesn't believe in divorce.....but I did say until DEATH do us part, and that can be arranged. But after 36 years I can't imagine my life without him (nor do I want to!)

So to you, my love, who I love more today than I did when I said I do.....I thank you for the life we have shared and look forward to the rest of our lives together.

Ever just feel old and ugly? I keep reminding myself that I am made in the 'image of God' so I can't be ugly! One out of two ain't bad! Daddy always said, 'If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd of taken better care of myself!' I use to think that was so stupid. The older I get, the more I see how wise my dad was!

Today, rainy and I'm in pain, but the good news is, it's 10am, I haven't cheated on my diet and I've actually gotten some cleaning done! If I stay busy, I don't FEEL the pain as much. I know my friends are worried about me, but I am okay, just not able to get out as much when I'm feeling the 'pain'! We need the rain so much, I'm so thankful for it!

Being old, sick and tired sucks!!!!

I'm so sore that if it wasn't for my arthiritis meds and gout meds, and a hot jaccuzzie, I don't think I could get up and down. When did I get so old?

Daddy use to say if your name isn't in the obits in the morning, it's going to be a good day! Every day is a gift. I believe God could take away all my pain and all my ailments, but I have them for a reason, maybe to have sympathy and patience with others!?! Something I do have a shortage of!

Yeap!! Just waiting for the rapture! Wouldn't that be nice! Not to die but one minute here and the next before God! Wow! What an awesome idea! Laura, my daughter once asked me if I was afraid to die! I'm not. Being an active Christian (walk with Christ--as best as I can) I'm not afraid to die--I'm afraid how I'm going to die! I don't want to be in pain or die a slow death--here one minute, gone the next--that's the way I want it! Even better--RAPTURE!!! If you don't know what that means, google it.

This one is hard!

I thought I was doing the right thing! I'm going to exercise again. Prayed for strength and BAM! I fall in the locker room getting ready to go into the pool! It shook me, but I was determined! I did one hour of exercising and 15 minutes in the jacuzzi and then home! I am so sore today. I know some is from the exercising but a lot is from the fall. Hope to be back at the pool on Monday!

Friends

That's not how I was going to start off with today--but after what my 'best' friend told me what she ate yesterday--I thought this might give her 'food for thought'!

This is what I want to say to my 'best' friend. We use to just be friends. Then became good friends, and now she is my 'best' friend. I'm not sure I'm hers because she has so many friends and does so much for everyone, but it really doesn't matter, because I know she's always there for me. She keeps my deep, dark secrets safe, and laughs and cries with me. Like me, she loves Jesus and isn't afraid to tell anybody! We are different and I think that's one reason God put us together, as a check and balance kind of thing. We have only child each and they are both girls and both 15 (now!) Yeah--pray for us!! I don't have to mention her name--she knows who she is and I love her so much, but most of all, I love God for putting her in my life!

First Hat done--second one half done

Well, the photos came out a little dark (I'll use a lighter background next time) but I really like the way this verigated hat came out. (That's my lovely daughter modeling it for me.) I'm doing a solid dark blue with cable that I hope to have done within the next day or two. The cable hat takes longer because I have to count alot and keep track of which row I'm on, so I can't just mindlessly knit like I can on the one above.

More to come.

An awesome day!

We dropped the kids at the movies, hope they enjoy the movie--looks good!

Let's see, hubby got lots of wires (don't ask--I don't know) and a new suitcase (airport tore up one last week on his business trip) and a nice light jacket! Adam (the boyfriend) got a comic book, Laura got a sweater (yeah I said I knit--but it's kinda that cobblers kids have no shoes thing) and a Japanese coloring book and some perfume...and momma got a shirt (mock turtleneck), scissors (for my knitting and crocheting), two paperback romance books(not the garbage stuff, but Christian romance books) and oh yeah---A NEW DOONEY & BOURKE!

Happy Anniversary to ME! Happy Anniversary to ME! Happy Anniversary to ME!Happy Anniversary to ME! Well, a little early--but I saved him 50% and now he doesn't have to go shopping for me and it's only about 3 weeks away (36 years!) I have a pink one, but yeah, it's way past summer and it just doesn't go with cold weather!
I love this one. Plenty of room, easy to open and best of all---it's MINE!!!

Off to unclaimed baggage!!!

Yep! Today hubby is off work, daughter is out of school and we are going shopping (makes me happy) at a huge outlet store (makes hubby happy) and daughters boyfriend is going too (make daughter happy!) Should be a great, fun day!

Okay, I'm a closet Randy Travis freak!!! There, I said it! But he's gone almost 100% Christian music! I love it! Enjoy!!!

Okay, I'll add this one for Daddy! He's my hero! A WWII vet and resting in Heaven! I miss you Daddy! He was baptized in Little Cypress Creek in Possum Trot Kentucky. He was a pistal, and I bet there were several 'praying for the fish'!

Me--obsessed with knitting--NOT!!!!

I think this is so funny!

This is me. At least it was about 8 months ago when I was on my diet, exercising and do good. Now, I don't feel so good. I'm not on my diet and I'm not doing water aerobics, but that can all change! You see, with God, all things are possible!

Okay, what I want you to know is I love my God, my family and my country! That's how I was raised, and I'm so glad I had the parent I had who gave me these values!

I want to use this blog to praise God, let you know how I survive being sick with a sick hubby and a 15 year old daughter. I want to keep track of how well I learn to keep my eyes on God (or fail to) and how faihful I am at following His lead.

Right now, He has me knitting hats for The Ships Project. For our soldiers.

Enjoy--Matt Redman--and Praise God--for His son and never letting go!
